Happy Easter 2009

There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby. Well, perhaps stealing a kiss from a sleeping baby. Our friend Annabelle said he is "so kissable!"

Happy Hoppy Easter to you and your family. Enjoy your short break and time with friends and/or family but especially enjoy any little treats the little while fluff-ball on four legs left for you!

Introducing . . .

Matilda Jean Tealby
Friday 3 April 2009. 4320grams 9lb 5oz. 54cms long.

Pretty much a 2 hour 20 minute introduction into the world. Not bad work before morning tea break huh?

This is a cute photo - bit of trickery - she was resting on my shoulder but it looks as if she is peeking around to say 'Hi!' Being 30-ish hours old she isn't *really* peeking or saying hi, but maybe next week?

Cuddles with her Mummy, while Daddy unwrapped the chocolates meant for Mummy! They are all doing nicely and I am sure they are pretty proud and soaking up the love. Amy is now a big sister. Congratulations and much love to you.

xx

my little jumping bean commenced the next official step of babyhood - the jolly jumper! he is loving it and does a great riverdance impression.

have you met my other child . . . griffina? what? boys don't wear flowers? isn't that racist or prejudice or something? whatever. daddy wasn't thrilled either. i thought it was funny and just a wee bit cute.

ok, will file that one in "bribery when kids are older". a mother needs to be prepared.

If you see a crocodile . . .

Don't forget to scream . . . arrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I wanted to get a fresh picture of my wild little crocodile to show his toothy pegs. You see, as of last Friday (five days after the first), he is the proud owner of two little beauties.

After I was successful in capturing the wild little crocodiles vicious toothy pegs, my guard was dropped and he *pounced*! See? Gnawing at my fingers at first, but he was eyeing off my jugular! Alarm bells were ringing - I really should leave the wrestling wild animals thing to the professionals.

Righto, back to civilisation from the wild jungle.

Caleb and I, a bit blurry but I like the emotion. Lets face it, I like the boy.

Miss Drama Queen has a live one. Among the mess of toys and dolls and strollers she has a live one . . .

Baby that is, plus my new stroller. I think she may not give it back. I was told this week at kindy that she loves the 'home corner' and the babies, they think it is *soooooo* cute as she lifts her shirt to breastfeed the babies.

I have something delicious for my next post. Trust me, if I could eat photos you wouldn't be seeing it. (d.r.o.o.l.)

Enjoy a wonderful Wednesday.

Congratulations to my cousin Lynda and her husband Andrew on the birth of their first baby, Thomas George 4140grams on Friday 20 March 2009. Best of luck to you!

First Peg

My sweet little boy has turned five months and has decided he be all grown up. Sniff. He has his first sweet little peg. The tiny pearly white has popped up (with the help of buckets of drool and some Bonjella) at exactly five months. His tiny pearly white buddy next door is knocking on the window also (poor little gum having the two teeth buddies moving together).

Sing with me (c'mon, you know you want to!)

'Who's that tapping on the window
Who's that knocking at the doooorrrrrrrrr'

It's me! No.2 Tooth! Let me out!!

Note: no child was hurt in the taking of this photo.

Due to the fact of trying some 'raw' photography (file type people, not rudey type), my photo sharing has been extremely rare. The files are *huge* and I couldn't shrink them. I have just worked out a basic way to do some of them, still haven't attempted the 'raw' files yet, so thought I would show you a current photo of all us nutbags. The other nutbag is behind the camera.

Righto, have a lovely Friday. I am off for another early night as my baby, sniff, big boy, sniff, is having some cranky/painful/nasty teething sadness.

Fool

Yesterday afternoon I was not pleased.

Firstly while out for a drive we dropped in at the Port of Brisbane to check out the bird life and get some photos. This fool forgot to take the memory card out of the card reader at home and return to its rightful spot in. the. damn. camera.

Secondly with all the roadworks and changes around the Gateway crossover at Lytton Road we got totally bushed and came round the bend straight up to the bridge. We don't want to cross the. damn. bridge! No way out. Grrrr. Had to pay the $5.80 return journey just to get back home. We drove across the bridge, turned around and came straight back. What a fool am I. Honestly.

The Little Baker

Tim is Caleb's physiotherapist and Melinda is Caleb's Occupational Therapist at the Royal Childrens Hospital. They totally rock and are so good with us. They took us over to the other side of the hospital to access an oven for the gingerbread-cookie-making-day for a session of therapy, found a camera to take photos and sent them over. Really appreciate that.

They made the dough. They rolled the dough.

They cut the dough.

And decorated the freshly baked cookies (after a short burst of cold in the fridge!).

It was fun and rewarding for us all.

Rock'n'Roll

Baby G is rocking and rolling good. When he gets to his tummy and brings his arms up for support, he looks around to see who is seeing his handy work. They are lucky and get a sweet smile to share in his happiness. He has been rolling for a few weeks but this numbskull only thought today about getting photos.

Lesson

Today's lesson:

Make sure you *check* how much coffee is left in the cup when you *think* there is one last mouthful . . .

. . . thinking until, that is, your mouth fills and the *actual* last mouthful resembles a brown waterfall cascading down your rocky chin. Sigh.

Let's See

I have (finally) made a new header. About time Griffy had a photo instead of a ultrasound shot. The kids certainly approved when they all screamed 'yay!' in loud excitement when I showed them.

I am not a lucky person generally. Fernwood had a competition to drop your name into the box for a 3 month membership at a stand at the Carindale shops. I had been considering the possible potential maybe perhaps giving a gym a go. I was a little scared and lacking the confidence to give it a shot, you know, didn't want to fail . . . Winning (!) the three month membership is a great prize which I can use to help me be a better me. I can give my old bones a good old wake up and burn some calories without the financial outlay. I have twelve weeks to make this a good thing for me. Cross your fingers for me.
