Stuck
What?
Help me I am stuck!
Adrian appears in the doorway to the 'toy room' to find me half way in one door and half way out of the other door of . . . . Caleb's Thomas the Tank Engine tent.
Please don't try to build this picture in your mind, that would even be *more* embarrassing. You see, to get down and dirty (so to say) with the kids - it was raining outside - I thought we could sit in the tent, play cubbies and sing songs. Good idea Mum, you certainly are Mother of the Year!
You know what I have learned from the experience? I am *much* bigger than the children. The tent is *much* smaller on the inside. The tent has two 'doors' that are not equal in size.
I managed to squeeze myself in the front door, and like leeches the kids were all over me, giggling thinking that was the greatest thing ever. Or maybe they were giggling cause they knew I wouldn't be able to get out. How does a giant ogre removed itself from the pea pod it has gotten stuck in?
I figured I'd had enough of bending my neck against the soft roof. I'd had enough of being elbowed in my soft parts. The cat was now showing interest in wanting to join us inside the tiny mouse-hole called a tent. Right, I will slide sneakily out the side door!
So with my legs pointed straight out the front door, my head and shoulders out the side door, kids still climbing over me (ow!), Adrian walks in to find me wedged and unable to move. At this point I couldn't help but laugh and say 'Help me - I am stuck'. He laughed, then the kids (and probably cat) start laughing cause of the hysterics of it all. May I point out they were definitely laughing at me, not with me. And the sneaky escape route? Not so.
You see, I figured out a smidge too late that the side door is smaller than the front door. Probably a smidge bit later I realised that perhaps this is indeed intended for children, being a children's toy and all. They don't get stuck. Be it shoulders or hips.
I think the Mother of the Year award will be, erm, amended. Twit of the Year? Nutbag of the Year? I better make it an early night, I think I have tent-burn marks on my shoulders and hips. It is a wonder I don't need stitches.

Scrap
This is my first one today. It was using a sketch Liz made on the CIS Sketch Blog. This new product from Basic Grey - they rock! You can click on the photo for a bigger view remember?

I did this a while back for the Cybercrop at Scrap Boutique. Great action shot that I adore of Caleb that was taken by Katrina, our old and greatly missed OT.
This was another challenge for the same Cybercrop mentioned above. I was happy with this, trying some new hand-sewing techniques.
I wanted to create something fun that didn't include a photo. Don't know why when I have a squillion photos to scrap.
My new baby Zali (sigh) was a perfect photo to try out the new Animal Crackers line from MM. I actually got these die cut stickers in a bundle, buy so much stuff-get a ticket-win your prize. I was v. happy to get this lot. I can't wait to get more Animal Crackers product when this new little bundle presents itself.

I also finished a layout I started at Liz' place on Tuesday, AND finished another today. Oh. My. Crikey! I am a *machine*! I have a few minutes before Home and Away starts, I will commence my third for the day! Yahhoooooooo.
Scrappy love to you all.

V. Close
I found out today that my dear sweet friend is pregnant (that part I already knew) and her scan shows her 6 days ahead of me! How close is that! We are both very happy to be doing this at the same time. And the other cool thing? We both coincidentally see the same obstetrician.
Caleb is now on school holidays. I hope the week will zoom by, as I am not sure I will be very entertaining. He asks me 'Mummy are you sick today?' Generally the answer is yes.

Forward
You could see the little buds where the arms and legs are starting to grow.
My dates were moved a smidge forward, but we definitely have an October baby coming. Nice.

Little Bit?

Waiting for the little school bus.

In March was St Paddy's Day, I remembered the green 'thing' and remembered to take a photo, and that was about the same time as my brain packed up and left for Ireland (or some other far away place) and has not yet returned. Don't ask about their poses, I have no idea. I said, stand together?
I loved finding this cutey on the camera. Cuddles are the greatest thing on earth.

Why?
Cause this *tiny baby* growing inside me is sucking all motivation, strength, energy and general life out of me. All I want to do is sleep, and when I am not, then I am thinking of when I can nap next.
Thinking is tough, my brain is bobbing around in my head somewhere, but I needs me a Tom Tom to locate the thing. Putting logical words together is tough - but lets face it, that has always been a problem with me. : )
A sample day for me at the moment: sick, nausea, heartburn, aching back, headache, tired. I am liking nectarines, peaches, cold tin fruit and veggies. Not all at once, but these are foods I can eat that don't have me dry-retching or gagging. Nice. Least my body is wanting healthy food. Anyway, just dropping by with this pretty cool update, but now I need a nap before my boy arrives in his little school bus.
Oh, and Zali started her new kindy today - very happy morning, looking forward to seeing how things went.
Mwah!

Don't Sleep and Drive!
Amy had her first swing and slide. Initially a little hesitant but movement calmed her and let her enjoy the ride.

Caleb was a little unmotivated but played ok. After a while his new friend turned up and he happily went off playing and jumping and pretend falling. Her name is Saschie (not sure on spelling) and we met at the park last week. They play well, until she wants to hold his hand or hug him goodbye. Zali is normally keen to get in on the action, but the tiredness was boss today.
At morning tea time (read: hungry *and* tired, oops) we all headed over to the shaded table to eat and refresh. Zali did this. Isn't it cute!? Classic photo, want to print a big one! She was very tired, obviously hungry, smidge cranky and did. not. want. to. move. Until Mummy picked her up. Ahhh, after the photo opportunity of course!
Big day on Saturday. Grandma, Caleb, Zali and I drove up to Toowoomba to drop off Syd the Cockatiel to Nan and Pop's. She settled well, the kids played and had fun, and Grandma and I met Sheree at Sizzlers for a lunch date. Quick stop at the scrap shop on the way to lunch, only quick I swear! Lunch was nice, fantastic seeing Sheree and I want to send a huge thank you for the gift. It is very thoughtful and special and really nice. Have starting doing things to it, want to make it neat though. And we forgot about the clothes for Finn - doh!
After lunch we picked up two tired kids from Nan and Pops and commenced the drive back home. The littlies went to sleep pretty fast and little old me - well, I was snapped awake (at the wheel) when Grandma said 'why are you driving all over the road?' Ooops. I was really tired. I drove a bit further, since I was given a wee shock. When I got drowsy again I pulled over straight away and Grandma drove.
I haven't slept in a car (without being drugged with travel sickness medication) for a *very* long time. Very tired! I swear Grandma was deliberately heading for the bumps and sharp corners.
After a big day and late sleep, my two angels didn't want to sleep until 9.30pm! Holy smoke! I was ready to fall asleep just after 7.30pm, but I couldn't give in after they went down so I worked a little on a scrap page. Went to bed too late and was woken at 5am for the markets. Grrr.
Had a nap today. Was woken when a nasty little ant bit me on the leg - don't worry, he won't be biting anyone else, ever again.
Enjoy your week, it is going to be a great week!
